Planting Rice Is The Agenda

I wondered what this meant. To my blinkered Western eyes, I wasn’t sure at first whether it meant Farming. Account Management was perhaps the order of the day?

It was explained to me as being the way in which future prosperity is underpinned. In her particular locale, to talk of rice planting means you’re thinking of how to make sure tomorrow is always plentiful.

The Western mindset is all too often akin to being a locust. You bleed a certain well dry. Sustainability is farthermost from the mind.

And this is a shame.

We should take a leaf out of Asian books. And come up with plans that help focus on smooth and ongoing success.
