A post-London 2012 hangover blog.
How many salespeople have you heard say that they are passionate about what they do?
I’ve suffered it far too many times.
Including witnessing this in live prospect presentations.
It’s pretty much always been cringeworthy, to put it mildly.
The obvious point to make is that if you hear yourself telling someone you’re passionate about something, then you’re not.
Your passion has to be evident by your overall enthusiasm, detailed knowledge and actions.
Never tell someone you’re passionate about your product, company or even problem you solve for customers.
Let them soak it up for themselves and avoid being like the seleciton of firms singled out for ridicule in the above youtube clip.
