Tesla Vibes Beat

"If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration".

No, not the car. The quote above is attributed to being heard over a century ago in conversation with esteemed inventor Nikola Tesla.

I was messaged a pic of it from an irate Ingerlund fan. One who attended in-person the glory that was the 1966 World Cup victory. Pressing send after hearing the current men's football team (caretaker) manager. Interviewed upon woeful defeat to the lowest ranked side ever to turn them over at their home Wembley HQ.

It was indeed dismal fayre. The poor chap bereft of overt passion, oracy or vision.

Not everyone can command glamorous silver screen appeal. That mystery of charisma often mistaken for an overbearing proclivity. The authority of role no substitute for actual leadership qualities.

I've blogged before about energy vampires. Also known variously as drag anchors or mood hoovers.

They must be jettisoned from your work. Colleagues and clients alike. Not to mention life in general.

I on occasion pose the ol' wisdom;

"attitudes are infectious, is yours worth catching?"

Indeed, the central fact is that they are contagious. Whether good or bad. And we must banish the bad.

Around the same time, I read the six red flags from author of advisory tome, Energy Rules. She listed these traits to be on the lookout for. And steer well clear of;

the Chatterbox, the Manipulator, the Negative Nelly, the Gossip, the Showboat, the Eternal Victim & Martyr.

Sounds like a decent checklist for an actual HR professional.

Moving on from those you may work alongside, there's a point worth making that any bid you post would do well to heed this Tesla wisdom.

It's not just that customers love motion.

Do they feel 'energy, frequency, vibration' from what you propose?

There's many ways these forces can map onto what our buyer needs.

Whether you talk in terms of pull of the project, rate at which it'll improve matters, or who else and what else benefits from being in its orbit.

You could even remix the quote.

'If you want to find the secrets of them buying, think in terms of pull, rate and connection'.
