Pledge Backdrop For Brussels

Above is the top of a piece from The Times [sub'n req'd] of London. Reporting on the week's speech for eurocrats cloaked with liberal elite alignment yet presumably principally aimed at extending niceties to Microsoft. As partly evidenced by the chosen url of said publisher; Microsoft vows to fight any US attempt to shut down its Europe operations.

That backdrop certainly catches the Sales eye.

MS Pledge.

You can readily accept that as a statement of intent it is eagerly embraced by the audience.

Whether as core plank or merely one pillar among other such pronouncements is by the by.

At nine words, spookily close to the ever-useful '8-word mission' style.

What such statement would your potential audience also lap up?

In this Big Tech case, it seems incomprehensible that said mantra would appear without some sort of collaborative development and prior assessment of how it chimes.

A classic shaping of needs-to-solution.

Despite this being relatively bland and broad it does you feel provide a jumping off point. Enabling future fixing around elements arising.

Consider your upcoming pitch to a particular prospect. At some stage, you'll be standing with a slide behind you. As you deliver the thrust of what drives you to help them.

You could be talking a while. Or seeking interaction. Or proposing next steps.

What would you like the slide behind you to say?

Here, you could argue there's a problem framed as a statement.

Quite a neat option.

Have you a window on to similar?
