Taking Your Savoir-Faire Beyond The Bot
'AI is far from replicating savoir-faire, the ‘backbone’ of many high-fashion brands'

I devour many a piece on AI impact in certain sectors. Especially when a direction of travel is spotted, and nuggets how we best sell through this emerge.
The above sentiment intrigued as perhaps from pinnacle of where ultimate craftsmanship meets relentless business exec-ing.
We solution sellers have our own savoir-faire. That uniqueness underpinning knowing how we do our thing.
It exists in our process thinking, the way we conduct ourselves, and why the prospect buys into us alone beyond all others.
How could an algorithm ever replace us?
I firmly believe that our worth emanates greatly from that which a machine cannot replicate. The human element so key to our day job, aka relationship selling. As I've blogged on muchly, our 'aura'. Our 'controlled imperfection', where friction welds bonds, and knowing that optimisation can mislead (especially where pipeline efficiency stifles in-deal creation).
Yet careful now, as many think selling bot takeover is fast a-coming.
What this view of the current state of fashion play reveals in part, is the rise of the 'bilingual' seller. As in haute couture, we must be fluent in this new tech tsunami whilst never neglecting the difference we personally bring.
This means we sit out the race-to-the-bottom. One thing AI cannot replicate, is 'me', right? We are not a commodity, and must bring that out.
One thought does occur from my personal slant on process flag-waving. Yes, as in design workshops AI has displaced the pencil and paper in favour of machine-led initial drafting and multiple iterating by those entering the trade, we can ask for 'scaffolding' around such as hopper-filling and admin, a kind of pitch or response rapid prototyping, and background riffing where we provide the soul .
You've likely heard of terms that relate. Human-in-the-Loop, 'integrity by design' and using AI to liberate our (Sales) genius.
Aligning with the above stated futurity of AI in fashion as limited by its inability to replicate a brand's heart, in our realm AI feels more a tool rather than creator.
Add now having AI to build a digital bodyguard around our own savoir-faire.
We are inimitable, with a matchless process, and a rare gift for unparalleled delivery in our space.
When we understand how and where, let AI help fortify and refine all that edge.
