Use Fig Leaf Pitch Rather Than Go Nude

With the Australian Open tennis in full swing, I caught commentators use a term new to my ears.

A poor, feeble serve is referred to as nude.

One with nothing on it.

I instantly thought how that applied to far too many a pitch I’d heard.

Whether exclusively feature-ridden, one that goes on interminably long without punch, meanders without purpose or fails in any way to match client needs with your offer.

They lack zip, sparkle, or relevance to the moment.

A quick sanity check of your pitches can probably weedle such out.

Then you might want to consider an improvement.

A fig leaf.

There’s likely just one simple thing you need to bring to your ineffective pitch so you’re no longer nude.

Find it. Wear it with pride.
