Approach Span Platform Fail

I do love the Before/After trope.

The sport of golf has plenty of courses of world renown.

Right up there, is perhaps the golf course, St Andrews' Old Course.

Standing on its small stone bridge at the 18th, the Swilcan Bridge, being the prized bucket-list selfie shot of note.

Time and traffic though, have not been kind to the bridge approach.

You can see why they tried to upgrade with a touch of present-day landscaping.

Yet the ire of the players was visceral.

To such an extent, that the new slabs were removed.

The site now restored back to its previous setting.

Sometimes, a modern makeover is not what those believing in you want you to do.

Have you a way of checking for this beforehand among your clients?
